The free-period audit: how to test a channel for $0
Here's the method we use, scaled down to one person and a spreadsheet. Three to four weeks, no real money:
- Log every call the moment it posts. Timestamp, pair, direction, entry zone, stop, all targets. Screenshots, so edits can't rewrite history.
- Paper trade the execution you'd realistically get. If the call is already up 2% when you see it, log your entry there — not at the channel's price. Latency is a cost; free tiers have the most of it.
- Count fees and slippage. A scalp that gains 1.5% gross is roughly breakeven after taker fees on both ends and a realistic fill.

- The vanishing loser. Deleted or edited calls are the free tier's signature scam. Log with screenshots; trust only what survives a two-month scrollback.
- "Exclusive pump at 8 PM" posts. A free channel that announces coordinated buys is recruiting exit liquidity. Leave immediately — the mechanics are in our scam-warning hub.
- Admin DMs and "account managers". Free channels harvest usernames for impersonation scams. Real providers never DM first, never offer to "trade your account", never ask for deposits.
